Cavazza brings the flavours of Gambellara and Colli Berici to Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2024
For almost a century, Cavazza has been providing quality wines from both the Gambellara hills and the Colli Berici in the province of Vicenza.
The Cavazza family is firmly rooted in the wine making and cultural traditions of its land. Its first vineyards were planted in Gambellara, and they later extended to the Colli Berici, in the province of Vicenza.
Since 1928, four generations of the family have passed down the winery’s leadership, each one cherishing the ancient wisdom of farmers, respect for the land and the importance of honouring commitments and striving for the slow, continuous growth of those who yearn to do things well.
These values epitomise the identity of Cavazza’s wines, resulting in the production of quality wines in Gambellara and Colli Berici, two viticultural areas that while they do not fall within major designations, have historically been well-suited for producing premium vintages.
Cavazza’s territories of production are situated in two completely different vine-growing areas in terms of micro-climate and terroir: the Gambellara hills are made of volcanic, mainly basaltic origin, which lends mineral nuances to the wines produced here. The estate on the Colli Berici, on the other hand, has vineyards growing on hills of marine origin composed of limestone and clay soils; a perfect environment for growing red wines.
Cavazza produces wine only from the grapes grown in the company’s own 143 hectares of vineyards, adopting stringent control at each stage of the production chain for a yield of 600,000 bottles per year.
