“Come and take the pulse of a changing world”

Good morning and welcome to Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2023. It’s a pleasure to see so many old and new faces here at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. I’m really looking forward to this year’s edition, which has considerably grown since last year.

Over the next three days, I encourage you all to take full advantage of our ON! Programme, which aims to take the pulse of a changing world through more than 100 tastings, masterclasses and multi-format discussions.

This year, we are delighted to have our Patron Guy Savoy, who will be sharing his passion for the wine and spirits industry and is hosting a Chef & Sommelier duo with Sylvain Nicolas. Every French wine region is represented along with an increasing number of international producers.

Of course sometimes it’s better to let the wine do the talking. That’s why I strongly recommend you enjoy one of our free-pour tastings which will be presenting over 1,500 wines from around the world during the show.

We also have our platform for young producers that have been in business for less than five years, La Nouvelle Vague. This is a great place to discover young producers and entrepreneurs who are presenting début wines.

Digital technologies are playing an increasingly important role in our industry. That’s why we welcome La Wine Tech Perspectives, an area dedicated to innovation, which aims to help every stakeholder transition and respond to new market challenges.

The Be Spirits area has its own dedicated hall this year (Hall 2), with a wide range of activities taking place, including the Speakeasy rooms which will offer a series of masterclasses, conferences and events focusing on spirits and mixology.

Here you will find a wide range of spirits and craft beverages from all backgrounds, from high-potential craft distilleries to recognised brands. You can also see top mixologists in action at the 40-metre-long Infinite Bar and sample their latest creations.

For this year’s OFF, we have organised a vibrant programme to rock Paris over the coming days, with 180 restaurants and cocktail bars standing by to welcome visitors after the trade show finishes. I therefore invite you to raise a glass at the Canon D’Achille which will be highlighting wines by female winegrowers.

Remember that in order to make the most of your trade show, you can acceess Vinexposium Connect, our digital portal which allows buyers to look for new products and contact producers 365 days a year.

On that note, I wish you all an exciting and productive first day at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2023 and look forward to seeing you on the trade show floor.
