Discover Slovenian wine which respects the land and local community

Klet Brda winery offers some of the best cuvées in the business, sustainably produced for nature, people and long-term success. Klet Brda is a leading producer and exporter of Slovenian wine. Founded as a cooperative in 1957, today it is appreciated by wine lovers from 26 different countries across the world.

The winery believes that the production of great wines starts by having respect for the land, the community and future generations. It is dedicated to employing responsible practices when it comes to making wine, as well as contributing to long-term economic success. As a sign of their commitment, Klet Brda chose the symbol of a bee to represent the presence of bees in their vineyards – a signal of ecological balance and biodiversity.

Natural resources do not only sustain the business, but also provide prosperity for the community and future generations. At Klet Brda, the work carried out in the vineyards is performed in a way that protects the health of locals and farmers, while ensuring social and economic stability for family farms.

Last year the company collaborated with selected winegrowers and partners on a pilot project. The team is testing a solution to enable winegrowers to remotely monitor the status of pests in their vineyards, giving predictions of their movements 14 days in advance. This would allow them to take timely precautions and protect their vines before any damage occurred and would contribute to a more sustainable production.
